How we approach the game
We want players to be challenged, get better, and enjoy playing. Winning matters, but it isn't the only measure of a good season.
What we value
Player development
Every athlete should have meaningful opportunities to learn and improve.
Team first
Individual effort matters. Team success depends on shared commitment.
Competitive spirit
Compete hard, embrace challenges, and learn from every outcome.
Respect & sportsmanship
Represent Ardsley well on and off the field.
Community & connection
Keep the friendships and shared experiences that make local youth sports special.
Fun
Players should enjoy the season and want to come back.
Players, parents, and coaches
Players
Show up ready to learn, give full effort, and respect coaches, umpires, and opponents. Be respectful of all players, whether or not they play travel.
Parents
Cheer for every player, let coaches coach, communicate conflicts early, and model good sportsmanship from the stands.
Coaches
Teach the game, give every player room to grow, communicate clearly with families, and honor Little League commitments alongside travel.
These values describe how we approach the game. They are not a playing-time policy. Our players, coaches, and parents follow the same code of conduct expected in Ardsley Little League. Formal policies will be posted on the Resources page once approved by the Travel Board.
